Another look at the home shop lift!

We lifted the entire structure up 4ft and framed a knee wall underneath. 2x2 HSS wall stiffeners run the full height of the wall every 4ft.
Furred out all the studs to get R30, 60000btu propane furnace.

This was al done with I-beams, LVL’s, and bottle jacks.

Of course did all my siding and flashing the doors in 👌🏻

Home plumbing update!

We had a drilled 130ft well with a jet pump inside the house, which was loud and not very good GPM.

We put in a 240v 10gpm Submersible pump. But the inside plumbing was still all being fed by only a 1/2” line for all the fixtures on a single loop.

New setup includes:
- 1” service line into particle filter and iron filter
- split before filter for future shop water line
- 3/4” manifolds with dedicated 1/2” takes offs each fixture group
- 3/4” to and from hot water tank
- Timed Regen pump on hot side from manifold, to keep hot water in manifold at peak times and less water waste

Back on site for some concrete where we built a beauty little shed last year. Our client has it dressed up real nice!

.concrete aren’t playing games this year! Fresh fleet of trucks. Trucks on time, slump is perfect, and ready to pour.

This bin just got a whole lot more expensive!
Not only was it severely overloaded and had to be partially unloaded and strapped heavily.
They hid garbage underneath the pile of brush, that were assured 100% it was ONLY brush.

This quickly goes from $75ton to $310 for a mixed load at the local landfill! Plus the driver is forced to pick through it. There was also steel tubing thrown in there, I don’t think the processor would appreciate that.

Do toilets stop flushing in the winter?

Don’t think so, so neither do we!

10 Triaxle’s booked for tomorrow. You can bet the drivers will be happy with some traction.

These timber accents became quite the hot commodity and we expect to be adding a few more to the roster this year!

What a transformation!
We slid in there before the siding crew to completely redo the front porch, and add in some epic decorative timber trusses.

We extended this porch 3ft, strapped out the existing concrete and topped it with some life lasting composite boards, we also used the rail system with a composite drink rail. We have to say this is our favourite system to date.

We’ll be back in the spring to finish this off with some cracked granite style stamped concrete! 🔥🔥

We made it happen! Nothing like knocking the dust off the infiltrators for inspection. This time of year is really a different beast in itself. It’s not cold enough for firm ground, but cold enough if you forget to clear the mud from the tracks. You’re going to have a long morning.
