The Sweet Spot in Merritt Movie Experts is now at Logan Lake Video and Books and had a name change to The Sweet Spot in Movie Experts (both stores were Movie Experts). You can still find you’re treats.

Welcome to fall. Considering how rocky a Summer it was I’m looking forward to Fall and October. We’ve been through a lot from the break-in in Logan Lake to closing the Merritt store. September has been a lot of stress and 8 hour work days that turned into 10 and 12 hour work days. The store is closed now as we have to get things boxed up and gone (The end of month is fast coming.)

Sunday we both worked in Merritt. Got two of the freezers out of the store which was as big step and a truck load of movies. Kinda shocking to see how many movies we are packing up, but we have to. Had folks picking up shelving, and cabinets and a few other things. Lots are gone to new homes, but there is still more. You just don’t think about how much shelving a store has.

We are still packing up Merritt. The last of the movies will get boxed up today. The ice-cream is going to Logan Lake. Still have shelving, display cases and cabinets for sale. Tom is pushing really hard to get more sold. You’re going to see more ads on various sale sites these last few days (under Tom Hood). If you can think of ANYONE that needs these things please let them know, that they still have a few days. Everything pictured is for sale.

Well I’ll get this off before attacking more boxes. Tom is looking forward to resting in October. I’ll be trying to get more things up for sale and back up on popcorn and ice-cream. Don’t think I’ll get much of a break. If I can keep smiling so can you 😉 Have a happy (if wet) Monday 😊 -Tina

4 for $5 cash tax in, or $1.25 plus tax.
Still somewhere around 5 or 6 thousand movies and I'd really like them gone today. Tomorrow morning I start boxing what's left, so this really is last chance.
Counters, shelving, fixtures and miscellaneous will be available up to about the 26th, when the serious cleaning begins.

Beer Flat Sale still on
Hundreds of titles to chose from

We're in the store starting to clean up and pack up, but if it's on the shelf they are still for sale! Can't believe all the good titles I'm seeing still available (I've got a flat for me started)

So much stuff needs to be cleaned out. It's overwhelming to know we have to empty everything out by the end of the month. So much got accumulated in 16 years. Some will go to Logan Lake but most just has to go :-(

I know it's a rainy day but we still have ice-cream for sale. And some bagged popcorn. I'm already cleaning the popcorn machine for it's move. Then I'm on to cleaning something else, likely a ice-cream freezer.

There are still literally thousands of titles to choose from. Blu-Ray, DVD or TV series. (One full season counts as one title.)
Open 10am to 6pm Friday & Saturday.
Also shelving, store fixtures, freezers etc. Pickup only.

The last few Sundays I've worked in the store, sorting, packing and tidying. After a lot of work (most of it by Tom) all the movies are on the main level. Strange to see so many empty shelves. Some of the shelving is sold. Not all of it and we need more of it sold.

The main level huge selection of movies (few thousand I'd guess on Sunday) for sale. I've was surprised at some of the titles we still have but did have multiple copies of some things. Get downtown and check it out :-)

This is not a "for sale" post. I am hoping a kindergarten or similar group would appreciate a pile of free DVD or Blu-Ray cases for fun projects. Last year we gave a huge pile to a class who built a "brick" house with the cases. I'm sure there are other things that could be done. I just don't want to see them all go to the landfill.
