Maple Talks

On my way to work, the bus stopped at a stop sign 🛑. Above the hill, a giant grey cloud ☁️ slowly enveloped it, enormous and mesmerizing. Beneath, the row of houses 🏘️ glowed with lights 🕯️, as if quietly preparing for the celebration 🎉 yet to come. The sight moved me so deeply that it inspired the lines I wrote.

Mighty Monster
Engulfs…
The Giant Guardian
Who guards
The innocent souls—
Crawling… hiding…
Craving… seeking…
Beneath.

His sword asleep,
Shield lying,
Armor at ease,
Amulet flickering…

“Let it pass,”
A voice echoes
Through the mountain valley...
