A little coffee with the Cummins this morning while we plan our week. 2026 will be the year for finishing ongoing projects. As many of you know, we have a wedding venue here on site with , and much of my time has been prioritized there. So our shop has been a little neglected while energy has been devoted to whatever project was the highest priority at the time. Well it’s time to get everything caught up. So we finally got the roof done, have started finishing the siding/soffit/fascia to get things looking a little more presentable. A needed electrical inspection for the shop happened last week, and this week the new dedicated electrical feed for the venue gets inspected…..all while we still wrench on a couple vehicles that have been waiting for their time in the limelight. 2026 is looking to be a very productive year! Let’s hope the brides, and vehicle owners enjoy the progress as much as we do.

Another closeout panel post. Kept them basic as this truck is a daily, not a show vehicle. A few more touches and this can go home.

Bit by bit, piece by piece. Pretty soon the welding will be done on Chad’s Ford and we can finally start mocking it all up for assembly and paint. Just tossing up a few pictures of the process required to spot patch the floor pans. Nothing fancy going on here, but I’m bad at posting on a regular basis, so deal with it, LOL.

Got some sheetmetal work sorted out on Matt’s Silverado this week. Closeout panels in the bedsides and the main (removable) tubs. Just need the weather to play ball and she can go home.

Chad’s Ford should be able to jump curbs like any single-mom Altima out there. When you have the opportunity to overbuild it, take it……these I-beams are 9” longer than factory, and should reduce the excess camber variance during regular driving, but still allow for extra travel fun when he feels like hitting some bumpy back-country roads.

No bumps, no bangs, no squeaks, no creeps, no vibrations. She runs like a champ. Just gotta tweak the toe at mid travel and she’s ready for some healthy miles on ‘er.

Started some knuckles for the Ford today. These will accept early 2000’s Silverado 2500 hubs and brakes allowing a needed update to the original drum system, while keeping the OEM bolt pattern and including full adjustability of camber, caster, and toe….something I-beams aren’t traditionally known for. This thing will finally look like a complete truck again very soon!

Some baby firewall tubs for Matt’s Chevy. They allow him to lay on stock size tires. A little finishing up and paint, and this truck is ready to go back together.

Couple arms we put together for a bagged 2014 Silverado. Fully boxed, Ram 1500 lower balljoints (stronger, more travel), notched for tie rod clearance at full drop. All 3/16” plate. Internally braced. Built to be beat on.

1970 F250 Fummins 5-speed swap is almost ready for final mock up. Trans mount designed and parts getting CNC cut. Almost time to make her look like a truck again. Can’t wait for all the cleaning, painting and polishing to come.
