How many of you have a bathroom that looks like this, LOL? Good news is we've finished LR, DR, Kit, and main bath, and this final one should be done this week. Working with a contractor and trying to keep up to him, but he's 30 years younger than me, and by the end of the day I'm beat. This is why I've not been here much in the last 3 weeks, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel...

I now believe that Spring is finally here. All the male birds at our feeder are sporting their mating colors.

Those of you who live in warmer climates may not appreciate this, but where I live in Canada we've just now lost our snow cover for the first time in months. I can report for sure that Marvin and his 4 girlfriends are really happy about this situation.

A friend took this photo and posted it on FB. I swiped it and will try and paint it and give it to her as a gift, if it turns out OK....

No posts for the last few days, sorry. Truth is I'm exhausted. Been doing home renovations since last Thursday, 8:30 AM to bedtime, and I'm getting too old for that. So take a lesson from me, if you want something, go and get it now, because later on you may be too old, or too tired, or whatever.

And so it starts, another renovation project. When I finish we'll have an open concept Kit/LR/DR with new appliances, flooring, countertop and backsplash, plus totally new main and ensuite bathrooms. I'm very grateful for not having to go to a job every day. Instead I can work on this project and keep abreast of my digital business by putting in only 1 or 2 hours a day on it. There are not many businesses that could be operated this way, so I'm grateful for belonging to this awesome business.

Beginning to feel like this snowman. The forecast is calling for more snow. Sure am grateful for having a snow blower.

Went to the Merrickville Snowflake Festival yesterday, put on by local businesses to show gratitude to local residents for their support. Lots of good stuff for kiddies, including a hayride and fire trucks, etc. Nice Family Day event, probably more common in small towns than cities. All part of country living.

These guys have very slim pickings around here in the winter time, but they always manage to survive, and their numbers grow each year. A good lesson for those of us running our own businesses: Times may get tough sometimes, but if we hang in there and keep plugging we'll make it in the end.

Restaurants opened again!! Going out to dinner to an Irish pub, with my favourite brew, of course. I may be taking a break, but my business will not be slacking off. The benefit of a digital business...

This morning my body might have been behind that snow blower, but my mind was on the river. This kind of dreaming helps the long winter days pass faster. Thanks to my digital business I'll be doing more of the fishing in the future.
