✨ TWO-COLOUR 3D PRINTING MAGIC! ✨🖨️🎨
This student learned an awesome advanced 3D printing technique — creating a TWO-COLOUR print that is printed FACE DOWN on the print bed to achieve an ultra-smooth, high-quality finish! 🤯🔥
What makes this even cooler is that the project combines TWO important digital skills:
🖥️ Designing part of the project in a 3D modelling program
⚙️ Using slicing software to control how the printer creates the final print layer-by-layer
The slicing software is where students learn powerful techniques like:
✨ Colour changes
✨ Layer control
✨ Print orientation
✨ Surface quality optimization
✨ Preparing professional-quality prints
The final result? A super clean, polished design that looks AMAZING! 😍👏
And the possibilities are endless! 🚀
Students can apply this same concept to create:
🪧 Custom signs
☕ Coasters
🎮 Gaming logos
🏷️ Name plates
🎁 Personalized gifts
🎨 Multi-colour art pieces
…and so much more!
Beyond just “printing things,” students are learning:
💡 Creative problem solving
📐 Design thinking
🖥️ Digital fabrication
⚙️ Manufacturing workflows
🎨 Graphic design concepts
🔧 Real-world maker skills

🩷✨ From Laser-Cut Wood to Flexible 3D Prints! ✨🩷
Our student explored the amazing concept of a living hinge using PLA, a common 3D printing material! 🖨️🔧 A living hinge is a flexible design made from a series of carefully spaced cuts that allow a solid object to bend and flex without breaking.
This idea originally became popular with laser-cut plywood, where designers use precise cuts in wood to create flexibility 🌳⚡ — and now our students are applying the same engineering concept in the world of 3D printing!
Through projects like this, students develop:
🔹 3D design and modeling skills
🔹 Engineering and problem-solving abilities
🔹 Understanding of material properties
🔹 Creative thinking and innovation
🔹 Hands-on experience with advanced technology
The possibilities are endless when kids combine creativity with technology 🚀 From flexible designs and custom gadgets to inventions of their own, students quickly realize they can bring almost ANY idea to life! 🤯✨

⚔️✨ May the 3D PRINT be with you! ✨⚔️
These young creators took their ideas from imagination → design → REALITY by designing and 3D printing their very own lightsaber handles… and of course, testing them out in an epic duel 😄🔥
This project is an absolute FAVORITE in the studio because it’s pure FUN while building serious skills:
🧠 3D modeling & design thinking
⚙️ Understanding how objects are built layer-by-layer
📏 Precision & measurement for perfect fit
🔄 Iteration & problem-solving
💡 Creativity—making something uniquely THEIR own
And let’s be honest… once the prints are done, the battle begins 😄💥
Hands-on learning + imagination + action = the kind of STEM experience kids never forget 🚀
🚀✨ May the 4th Be With You! ✨🚀
This out-of-this-galaxy project is a perfect blend of creativity and engineering! 🌌
Our students take the challenge of designing and 3D printing their own custom handles, then attaching them to a pool noodle to create their very own lightsaber-inspired builds! ⚔️💡
From concept ➡️ design ➡️ print ➡️ assembly, they work through the full engineering design process, developing skills in:
🧠 Problem-solving
💻 3D modeling
🖨️ 3D printing
🛠️ Product design & prototyping
And of course… a little imagination from a galaxy far, far away 😉
At Envision Robotics, we don’t just build projects — we build future-ready skills. 🌟

🚀 From beginner to builder in just TWO classes! 🤯
This amazing spinning fidget was created by our new student Marat (Grade 8) 👏 — and this is only his second class! 💥
Already designing like a pro… now that’s what we love to see at Envision Robotics! 🔧✨
🧠 Skills he’s developing:
• 3D modelling from scratch 🖥️
• Multicolour 3D printing 🎨🖨️
• Creating print-in-place mechanisms that actually spin! 🔄
• Understanding tolerances & precision ⚙️
• Turning ideas into real, functional designs 💡
This isn’t just a cool fidget toy (though it definitely is 😎)…
It’s hands-on learning that builds real-world engineering skills.
