Magnetic surveys continue to play a key role in modern mineral exploration.
Vault Strategic Mining has announced plans for a UAV magnetic survey at its War Bond Tungsten Project in Nevada to help refine drill targets and improve the understanding of subsurface ahead of drilling.
The survey will utilize a Blacksquare Hercules platform equipped with the GEM Systems potassium vapour magnetometer and using a GSM-19 base station — a combination designed to collect high-quality magnetic data while supporting safe, efficient terrain-following flight operations.

High-resolution UAV magnetics in mineral exploration
A recent technical report for Riverside Resources’ Blue Jay project describes a UAV magnetic survey completed with a GEM Systems GSMP-35U potassium magnetometer and a GSM-19 Overhauser base station.
The survey combined airborne acquisition with continuous base-station monitoring to account for diurnal magnetic variation — an essential step in producing dependable magnetic data.
