By combining high-resolution magnetic measurements with Very Low Frequency (VLF) electromagnetic data, integrated surveys can provide valuable insight into both magnetic susceptibility contrasts and subsurface conductivity variations.
This combination is particularly effective for mapping:
✔ Faults and shear zones
✔ Conductive structures and alteration zones
✔ Geological contacts
✔ Mineralized trends concealed beneath cover
The MagVLF integrates magnetic and VLF measurements into a single UAV field system, enabling efficient acquisition of complementary geophysical datasets during the same survey.
As exploration programs continue to seek more geological context from every field campaign, integrated geophysical approaches remain a powerful tool for target generation and structural interpretation.

Earth’s magnetic field is constantly changing — and monitoring those subtle variations plays a critical role in geomagnetism, space weather research, tectonics, and long-term Earth observation.
A recent paper on the new Pituffik (PIF) Arctic geomagnetic observatory highlighted the importance of stable, high-quality magnetic monitoring systems for continuous observatory operations in challenging environments.
GEM Systems magnetometers are used worldwide in observatory and Earth monitoring applications where sensitivity, stability, and long-term reliability are essential.

Pituffik (PIF), a new magnetic observatory in the Arctic Abstract. Pituffik is a newly established geomagnetic observatory located in the high Arctic – a region with sparse geomagnetic observational coverage. Positioned within the polar cap at Quasi-Dipole geomagnetic coordinates 83.19° latitude and 25.25° longitude, the observatory provides valuable ...

The is our ultra light-weight potassium magnetometer (K-mag) that we have developed specifically for magnetic surveying with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
At a fraction of the weight of our traditional sensors, this highly sensitive magnetometer allows you to survey more quickly and easily than before.
With automated, remote controlled and pre-planned routes, previously out of reach areas physically or economically now become available.

🔍 Case Study: UAV Magnetics at the Trinity Silver Project
Americore Resources recently completed a large-scale drone magnetometer survey at the Trinity Silver Project in Nevada, supporting structural mapping and exploration targeting across the property.
The airborne survey was flown by Exploration Consultants and utilized our GSMP-35U potassium vapour magnetometer as well as a GSM-19 Overhauser base station.
The program was designed to identify regional and local fault structures associated with silver mineralization trends extending approximately 6 km across the project area.
By combining UAV magnetic surveying with continuous base station monitoring, the project demonstrates how modern airborne geophysics can support efficient, high-resolution exploration workflows in structurally complex terrain.

📡 Our -based VLF-EM System enables airborne VLF measurements for conductivity and structural mapping applications.
The system utilizes lightweight orthogonal air-core coils to measure both in-phase and quadrature components of the electromagnetic field while simultaneously receiving signals from multiple VLF transmitters. This configuration supports improved signal characterization and reduced acquisition noise during UAV surveys.
Applications include:
🔹 Conductivity and resistivity mapping
🔹 Geological and structural interpretation
🔹 Groundwater investigations
🔹 Environmental and engineering geophysics
🔹 Subsurface infrastructure detection
By integrating VLF-EM acquisition with drone deployment, the system supports efficient data collection across complex or inaccessible terrain while maintaining high spatial resolution.
