Most people have a dominant ear (usually the right ear). 👂

In many cases, the right ear is better at processing speech and language, while the left ear is more sensitive to music, tone, and pitch.

That’s because each ear connects to the opposite brain hemisphere, working together to create a complete listening experience.

But here’s the important distinction: A natural preference is one thing, while a noticeable difference in hearing between ears is another.

If you're:
• Always using the same ear on the phone
• Turning your head to hear better
• Having difficulty following conversations in noise

This could point to unilateral (asymmetrical) hearing loss.

If something feels off, a hearing test can help you understand what’s happening, and ensure both ears are working as they should.

Do you feel like music doesn't sound the same anymore? 🎶

With hearing loss, certain tones (especially higher notes and softer details) can fade or blend together. What used to sound rich and layered may start to feel flat or less clear.

You might notice that lyrics are harder to follow, instruments don't stand out like they used to, and songs feel less full or immersive.

The good news? With the right hearing aids and programming, much of that clarity and detail can be restored.
