Reflections after getting the hell out of here for three whole weeks šš„¹ (and I will say, Iām fully aware of how much of a luxury and privilege it is to take that much time off, let alone travel š).
TRUST ME WHEN I SAY thereās a time and a place to challenge someone and see anotherās perspectiveā¦
AND THEN THERE ARE TIMES when thatās just so not cool in my books, in and outside the therapy room š

Today I made these simple, 6-ingredient, gluten-free crackers that were SO easy to makeāand delicious to boot!
Why? Because so many crackers are SUPER processed, and many contain quite bit of sugar, too!
Recipe š©āš³:
3/4 cups of finely ground almond flour
1/4 cup ground flaxseeds
1/4 cup nutritional yeast
2 tablespoons of water
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1/4 teaspoon of salt (plus more for sprinkling)
Optional: garlic powder, onion powder, or other spices youād like to use in your crackers! If using everything bagel seasoning, remove the salt from this recipe.
Instructions ā²ļø:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees (or 325 degrees if using a convection bake setting).
2. Add all of the ingredients to a medium-sized bowl and stir with a fork until itās a crumbly dough.
3. Line a small baking sheet with parchment paper. Put the dough on top and flatten with your hands into a rough square shape. Place another piece of parchment paper on top and use a rolling pin to roll the dough very flat and thin.
4. Lightly score the dough with a sharp knife for easier breaking later. Sprinkle the top with sea salt or more spices if you wish.
5. Cook in the oven until golden brown. (You may start at 12 min. and work your way up from there. Mine took about 20 min. because I didnāt quite roll it thin enough š
).
6. Cut the crackers into squares of whatever size you prefer.
For me, I really liked the taste of these but will acknowledge that they werenāt as crunchy as store-bought crackers, but it could have been because mine werenāt fully rolled thinly enough š« . I prefer these to store bought crackers any day just for knowing what Iām putting into my body!
Creatine is actually naturally produced in the body and helps power cells by rapidly regenerating ATPāthe fuel that keeps our muscles, brain, and heart running during intense activity.
Research now shows that supplementing with creatine can boost short bursts of physical performance and may even support mood, memory, and cognitive speedāespecially in people with lower baseline levels.
According to a recent study by Taylor & Francis group, supplementation began with a āloading phaseā of 20g per day (split into four doses) for 5 - 7 days. This was then followed by a āmaintenance doseā of 3 - 5g per day. This approach ārapidly saturates muscle creatine stores, but a lower daily dose of 3 - 5g can achieve a similar saturation over a longer periodā (of approximately 28 days), according to Dr. Boroujerdi, who was part of this research.
I personally supplement with creatine with Primal Queenās āGoddess Bites.ā 5 gummies pack 5g of creatine, so you can control your dosage accordingly if you want to take less or more (and they taste great). Primal Queen is a woman-owned company made BY women for women, and I really love their stuff (including their beef liver supplement). Depression is NOT about ājust being sad all the time.ā

NOTE: I am NOT saying that womenās love language is for men to be emotionally unavailable; Iām saying that itās to be emotionally considerate of the fact that sometimes not āsucking it upā in particular situations creates more emotional labour for women. Let me know if this is a yay or nay for you!
