“Thank you for giving me my life back.”

This patient was suffering from depression for almost 20 years.

She had tried everything for her mental health, and nothing had helped.

She describes how she left her sessions at Ketamind Health with a feeling of hope.

Now her life is livable, and she no longer has a sense of dread.

Psychedelic infusion therapy is a powerful tool for healing.

It can be even more transformative when you introduce the practice of mindfulness alongside it.

Mindfulness is the art of noticing more than usual, stepping outside of your range of focus, and becoming aware of the subtle things you'd normally walk right past.

It's about training your mind to live in the present moment, rather than getting lost in the “what-ifs” and “could have” that many of us carry every single day.

The 5–4–3–2–1 technique is a way to pull yourself out of your head when everything feels too loud or overwhelming.

When anxiety kicks in, your thoughts start spinning fast and you lose touch with what’s actually around you. This method slows that down by gently shifting your attention back to your senses.

You start by looking around and naming 5 things you can see.

Simple things, nothing special.

Then you move to 4 things you can feel, like your clothes, the chair, the ground under you.

After that, 3 things you can hear, even quiet or distant sounds.

Then 2 things you can smell.

Finally 1 thing you can taste or notice in your mouth.

It sounds very simple, but that’s the point. It doesn’t ask you to “fix” anything. It just brings you back to the present moment, where things are usually more manageable than they feel in your head.

PTSD doesn’t mean someone is weak — it means they’ve been through something deeply painful. Healing takes time, patience, and support, but with the right care, people can begin to feel safe, connected, and themselves again.

If you love someone living with PTSD, it can be incredibly hard to know what to do. You might feel helpless, frustrated, or like nothing you say helps. Often, the most powerful thing you can offer is patience, presence, and letting them know they’re not alone in it.

For those exploring advanced treatment options, Ketamind Health offers evidence-based IV Therapy for PTSD in a safe, trauma-informed environment. We’re here to talk with you and help you understand your options, and you can book a free consultation anytime.

Journaling after treatment isn’t about writing something profound.

Sometimes the experience makes sense slowly...

In pieces
In quiet moments
Later in the day
Or even days after.

Give yourself permission to notice what came up, without trying to force meaning out of it.

What felt small might actually be important. What feels unclear right now might become clearer with time.

Healing isn’t about getting it “right”.

It’s about staying present with yourself as things start to shift.

If you’re unsure where to start, come back to this simple question:

What is my mind and body trying to tell me right now, if I just listen?

In depression, the issue is often not knowing what to do.

It’s being unable to access the motivation, flexibility, and energy to do it.

In persistent depression, people often know what they need to do.

Get up.
Move.
Eat.
Start the task.
Go to therapy.
Take medication.

The problem isn’t always knowledge.

It’s access.

Access to motivation.
Access to energy.
Access to momentum.
Access to a mind that can shift out of the same loop.

That’s why people often say:

“I’ve tried therapy, but I still feel stuck.”
“My mind won’t stop looping.”
“I can’t get myself to do anything.”
“Everything feels harder than it should.”

These are signs that depression is still affecting daily life.

If you've been stuck in the cycle of "wait and see" with your depression medication, we hear your frustration.

It’s exhausting to wait weeks for improvement that never comes.

Our Toronto-based clinic offers advanced treatment for depression, even when standard treatments haven’t worked.

Traditional antidepressants and IV psychedelic therapy aren’t competing; they’re different tools that work in different ways.

For some, daily medication is effective and life-changing.

For others who haven’t found relief through standard treatments, IV psychedelic therapy offers a different pathway that can work faster and more deeply.

The right option depends on the individual, their history, and their needs — not a one-size-fits-all approach.

PTSD is real and so is healing. 🤍

Recovery doesn’t happen overnight, and it rarely looks the same for everyone.

Some days feel lighter, others feel harder. That’s part of the process.

But with the right support, many people slowly begin to feel safer in their own body again.

More present. More connected. Less stuck in survival mode.

The reactions, fear, numbness, or overwhelm you’ve been carrying don’t have to define you forever.

Healing is possible , even if it takes time.

The STOP technique is just a small pause when things feel overwhelming. 🤍

You stop for a moment…
you breathe…
you notice what’s happening inside you…

and then you choose your next step more gently, instead of reacting straight away.

It won’t fix everything, but it can help you feel a little more steady in that moment.
