An amazing opportunity to TRAIN with Ariel Helvetica at the Maple Ridge ACT Arts Centre & Theatre in Maple Ridge is underway. Starting in September on Monday nights.

This is a new offering and needs folks to register early to proceed. This class is for all adult ages, bodies, genders, and abilities. Everybody is a burlesque body.

Another Bells and Whistles debut is hitting the stage next month! Welcome aboard Kiki Albright

After 20 years spent putting the “fine” in finance, this buxom bookkeeper decided it was time to show audiences that she isn’t just a freak in the sheets of Excel, she’s certified in stage presence with degrees in lips, hips, t**s and wits. She has performed with the VBC, Pinup Posse and Disco Squad and saw her first festival stages at the Vancouver International Burlesque Festival and Queen City Burlesque this year. From slowburns to sleaze, she’s aiming to please with a fine bottom (line) and voluptuous ASS-ets you’re sure to appreciate.

Scott Baculum wants to tickle your funny bone with his outrageous antics. This drag king has won Drag Fight Club AND the hearts of audience members around the lower mainland. You can frequently catch him on stages with What the Frock productions, April O’Peel productions, and whoever else will put up with his crap. Performing isn’t just a hobby for Scott- it is also an important rehab tool for his brain injury recovery, and he hopes that he can inspire other survivors to find healing in comedy and performance arts. Scott daylights as a university instructor who is passionate about accessibility in education. He is also an involved member of the burlesque community who co-produces “Hot and Heavy”, a burlesque show that exclusively features fat performers. Hot and Heavy Burlesque

We're officially looking for dance teams for this year's Dancing in the Ridge! Whether you're representing a local business, community organization, sports team, or simply a group of friends, this is your chance to come together for an unforgettable experience.

You'll learn a choreographed routine, perform in front of a live audience, and help raise funds for the Maple Ridge Community Foundation. No dance experience is necessary.

Dancing in the Ridge will be taking place on November 12 at The ACT Arts Centre.
