Tight areas are not a problem

Today Darren rescued an injured young eagle from almost certain death. The eagle was beside Lougheed Hwy in east Maple Ridge. She was staggering as if she had been hit by a vehicle or possibly
electrocuted. After checking with animal control officers in both Langley and Maple Ridge we were advised to deliver her to the Orphaned Wildlife Rehabilitation Society in Delta.

Roberta at OWL advises she is under weight and in rough shape but has had a meal of quail meat and is now standing on her own. Roberta says she would not have had a chance to survive if she had not been rescued by Darren. She has tested negative for lead poisoning, but there is some concern she may have ingested toxic garbage or another unknown poison.

We are keeping our fingers crossed for her full recovery.
