A few more to remind you what that scared, dangerous horse can turn into

Hi all, I know that a ton of you have been lucky enough to spend some time camping at Hidden Gait Ranch in Summerland and have had Karen Grosch and John feel like family from the moment you arrived.
We all know that they went way above and beyond on every single visit not to mention charging us far less than they should have at their beautiful place. They've suffered unimaginable loss and could use our help so I'm tossing out a challenge to all.
I'm going to pay and book myself and my horse in for a weekend at any point in the future, should that time never come I'll be expecting a warm hug and possibly a glass of vino or perhaps some of that breakfast Baileys John is famous for instead.
It's $70 for you and your horse for the weekend, by booking you're either going to look forward to a great weekend or getting some of that karma all us cowgirls could use!

My awesome neighbor popped over with a quick fix for the broken bridge! Thanks to Bob the ponies will be enjoying some fresh grass tonight ❤️

Hey friends, here at the rescue I'm looking for a handy guy or 2 to fix the bridge that didn't survive the last flood. It definitely doesn't have to be glamorous just sturdy and safe for the horses.
It doesn't look like too big of a job but is well beyond my duct tape abilities. I've got a truck and can pick up whatever supplies are needed.
If you want to earn some cash and hopefully not rip me off, last guy i employed wanted $500 for less than an hour digging a hole by hand, my 2 rescue resident senior girls would sure appreciate being able to get out on that green grass

Lena is back at J And M and looking for her forever family.
The thing with living creatures is that you can never be 100% sure how they're going to react when you change their environment. She was with a really great family in Kelowna but became pretty stressed and very herdbound with her buddy. The woman who had her was smart enough to know when to throw in the towel and send her back, something I'm always thankful for.
She was super chill her before she left and has settled back in nicely

Lena is an 18 year old, 15.3 hh appendix mare. She's sound, sweet, an easy keeper and broke to ride but it's been a couple of years so she'll need a refresher. I'd like to see her go to an intermediate plus home with either more than one buddy or another horse that will be ridden as a pair with her to avoid any separation anxiety. With her temperament I'd be surprised if she's not beginner safe in the future but I'd rather be a bit cautious and set her up for a successful future.

Side note, the woman that tried her oit is really great and looking for either a lught rideable, pony or donkey to keep her mare company. It's a beautiful spot in Kelowna that I'd highly recommend. Comment here if you have something that might work for her ☺️
