Lena is back at J And M and looking for her forever family.
The thing with living creatures is that you can never be 100% sure how they're going to react when you change their environment. She was with a really great family in Kelowna but became pretty stressed and very herdbound with her buddy. The woman who had her was smart enough to know when to throw in the towel and send her back, something I'm always thankful for.
She was super chill her before she left and has settled back in nicely

Lena is an 18 year old, 15.3 hh appendix mare. She's sound, sweet, an easy keeper and broke to ride but it's been a couple of years so she'll need a refresher. I'd like to see her go to an intermediate plus home with either more than one buddy or another horse that will be ridden as a pair with her to avoid any separation anxiety. With her temperament I'd be surprised if she's not beginner safe in the future but I'd rather be a bit cautious and set her up for a successful future.

Side note, the woman that tried her oit is really great and looking for either a lught rideable, pony or donkey to keep her mare company. It's a beautiful spot in Kelowna that I'd highly recommend. Comment here if you have something that might work for her ☺️

Poor Trucker was getting picked on by the other horses at pasture so I've brought her home 😕
I'd still love to get her out on grass because it's her favorite place to be so if you're in Maple Ridge or close by here's what I'm looking for. Pasture with decent fencing and either a shelter or trees for shade and a bit of rain cover plus a water source. If you have a chill horse she gets along great with everyone and if not she's happy on her own so long as there's there's some human loving. She's 36 but doesn't require and special maintenance, is super safe with kids and dogs and absolutely a doll to be around. She loves scratches and treats and will talk your ear off for either of them
If you have a pony paradise that Trucker would love to visit for just a couple of weeks or the whole summer comment here ☺️

Trucker got dropped off at summer camp aka 35 acres of lush pasture today. I'm going to miss having her at the house like crazy but seeing her this happy sure does my heart good ❤️

It's been a hot minute since Trucker has had some time in the spotlight. At 36 this old gal is still in absolutely amazing shape and was happy to get out to The Barn Country Bar for a meet and greet and some Easter treats
This fabulous mare will always be the star, she's earned every minute of it ❤️
