After taking almost 1.5 years away from this business I’m ready to slowly start up again :)

There had been costly obstacles that came up including THEFT from professionals I had been working with. I have learned so so much running this business. All of that coupled with welcoming a new addition to our family had me overwhelmed and my mental health began to suffer. I made the difficult decision to take a step back for a little while to be present with my family and work on myself. 🤍

Even though I took a step back from the business I still worked hard to curate the care packs we continuously donate to families who have experienced perinatal loss 🤍

I have been working on new items and am so excited to share those when the time is right! But for now, share us with your friends and family and show some love 🤍

Ummm hey there – have we met?

Thought I’d pop my head up today and say a big ol’ virtual HELLO to those new and to those who have been here a while!

And as a quick – “who the heck is the person behind ares+co” I thought I’d drop 5 quick facts you may or may not know about me!

1. I LOVE to bake. I literally have something in the oven everyday (there is a fresh loaf of bread baking in our oven right now)
2. I am a lash tech during the day (I used to work in finance)
3. I have zero experience in fashion design
4. Living room dance parties are my fav
5. I love rewatching movies like HP on rainy days, I just find it so comforting!

How do you practice self-care?

Do you read every night before bed? Or maybe you have a glass of wine and a bubble bath? Or something else altogether?

For me, selfcare is achieved by allowing myself time for workouts to start my day and winding down with a book full of juicy drama at night

And today? This is my reminder to me AND to you to make sure we do whatever we each cherish when it comes to self-care, because it is so true that we cannot pour from an empty cup.

Secondly, if you're looking to add new pieces to your wardrobe? Thrift!

Lastly, if you're looking to add new pieces to your wardrobe and you can’t find what you're looking for second hand, then you want to pay attention to what you are buying brand new. Ask questions like:
What is it made of? What is the afterlife when you can’t wear it anymore? Where was it made and by who? Is it ultra-trendy? Can you pair it with pieces you already own?

The BIGGEST thing I want you to take away? Do your best. Pay attention and ask questions!
