It wasn’t enough that our store recently became a victim of theft — we are now also dealing with what appears to be a coordinated effort to damage our business online through multiple misleading one-star reviews connected to the same incident.

As a family-run business, we take great pride in creating a respectful and welcoming environment for everyone. A formal report regarding the incident has been filed, and we appreciate the continued support from our community during this time.

It’s been a bit of a week over here…
Our Maple Ridge location had an unexpected visit (the kind no small business hopes for), and our Burnaby shop got introduced to a very creative $100 bill 🙃

So instead of letting it get to us… we did what we do best.

We baked.

Because honestly, if life is going to throw bitterness our way, we’re going to answer with something sweet.

Theft within our community is always devastating.
Yesterday, we experienced something unfortunate at our store.

Three individuals came in and worked together to take over $200 worth of product. While one kept our team occupied with questions, the others moved through the aisles and concealed items before leaving.

As a small, family-run business, moments like this hit hard. Every product on our shelves represents real work, real people, and real care behind it.

We’re sharing this not for sympathy, but to gently raise awareness within our local business community. If you’re a shop owner nearby, please keep an extra eye out — we believe this may not be an isolated incident.

At the same time, we want to focus on what truly matters — the incredible support from our community.
