Easter week is a special time of celebration and prayer for the families in our programs. Semana Santa baskets provide them with traditional ingredients and sweet breads for a week and the opportunity to celebrate as a family. Please help us provide each family and elder with a basket for $107 each. We need 47 and have 15 funded to date. In remembrance and honour of those who served, those who continue to serve and those who didn’t come home.

Emma is 5 years old and battling her second bout of pneumonia this year. Although critically ill, she was sent home with prescriptions for medications and then later needed a nebulizer. Thanks to her sponsor, both the medication and nebulizer were purchased for her.

Medications, even initial doctor consultations, are beyond the means of most families who often incur a debt they cannot easily repay in order to help their family member. If sponsors are not able to help, we turn to our emergency funds which at this time are very low. Please help us say 'yes' to the next family that needs help.

Students regularly write letters to sponsors when sharing their report cards or saying thanks for gifts and support. Please consider writing your student and sharing a bit of your life - they will be very happy and excited!
