Wonderful concert coming up by young artist Verity Leung on March 1st @ 4pm in Vancouver! She is raising funds for the Kinbrace Community Society and will play the works of Scarlatti, Haydn, Liszt, Prokofiev, and Hamelin.

Classes resume as normal tomorrow Monday September 29, but remember no classes on Tuesday for the Truth & Reconciliation statutory holiday. See you tomorrow!

Great opportunity for those looking to perform at open mics, this one is in Vancouver and I believe is a regular opportunity! All-ages open mics are hard to come by as a lot of them are in bars, so for those young singer-songwriters and performers in the studio this is a great option 😊

We did the thing! We had an absolutely wonderful wedding day with all of our favourite people, on the most gorgeous crisp sunny autumn day. It might feel like we’re at a scheduling stalemate, but we’re really so close to being done!
Studio transparency time: The summer-fall shift is always our busiest administrative season. Teachers start new jobs or transition into new life seasons with different commitments. Students start new sports, work, and school schedules. We are often blessed with an influx of new student inquiries, but we can’t onboard them until we figure out where each current student is going to go. And in the background, Sarah and I are trying to be present for our own families in their new schedules and routines. 🤪
It’s a *significant* shift every year. And it happens slowly because we have to be methodical and get it right. Thank you for your patience, flexibility, honesty, responsiveness, and most of all, thank you for wanting to be part of . We’re so glad you’re here for the highs, lows, and messy middles. —Christin

Coming up soon!! There's still time to sign up, I can't wait to run this summer camp for students ages 11-13 😍 We'll be spending the first half of the time singing, playing musical games and activities, and then the second half will be watercolours and acrylics!

Piano & Paintbrushes = complete! What a fun and inspiring last week was with these 4 wonderful students. We played piano, we painted beautiful paintings using watercolour and acrylics (how adorable are our cows from Anna Bartlett's 'Painting Party' book!), and friendships were made. I've dreamed of a workshop like this for a long time and for it to be such a fantastic experience for the students and myself was all I could have hoped for. Can't wait for our workshops in August!! 😊🎨
