Another great canvass today in Carleton. No there isn’t going to be an election anytime soon. Showing up, listening, and making a positive difference between elections is how we serve.

Congratulations to Moitree Dutta, a constituent from our riding, on serving as a Page in the 2025–2026 House of Commons Page Program.

Selected from a highly competitive pool of applicants, Moitree is one of just 40 first-year post-secondary students chosen from across Canada for this prestigious program. Her achievement reflects exceptional dedication, academic excellence, and a strong commitment to public service.

I am proud to see a young leader from our community representing our riding in Canada’s Parliament, and I wish her continued success in this remarkable role.

I’ve had so many delightful conversations by chance while canvassing. Today’s unexpected delight was running into a childhood friend from New Brunswick, who I hadn’t seen in almost 50 years.

It was an amazing day at the 5th Annual National Capital High School Wheelchair Basketball Tournament at Carleton University!

Hosted by the John McCrae Athletic Leadership Class in partnership with Abilities Ottawa and Wheelchair Basketball Canada, this incredible event brought together students from South Carleton High School, Osgoode Township High School, and Sacred Heart Catholic High School for a day of fun, teamwork, and inclusion.

Great job to all of the teams for their hard work, sportsmanship, and dedication throughout the tournament!

Women’s rights are human rights and I will always stand up to protect them.

Today I came to Parliament Hill to protest the “pro-life” gathering and to advocate for women’s autonomy, reproductive freedom, and equal rights!

I will always stand up for women’s rights, and I refuse to stay silent while those rights are threatened.
