A little throwback to Vila… 💛
Just five months ago she came into our lives.
It doesn’t feel like long, but the growth, the lessons, and the journey we’ve been on together already feels so big.
Young horses have a way of changing you… and Vila is no exception.

Let’s get real…
The journey with a young horse isn’t linear.
It’s not perfect.
It’s not always pretty.
But it’s part of the process.
They will test you.
They will push you to your limit.
They will humble you in ways you didn’t expect.
And then… just like that… there’s a breakthrough.
A moment where everything starts to make sense again, and the future feels bright.
Training babies is not for the faint of heart.
Charlotte is learning so much through this journey, not just as a rider, but as a trainer. The patience, the feel, the resilience… it’s all being built in these moments.
I promised real content. Not just the polished photos and perfectly edited clips that flood the internet and create a false sense of what this process looks like.
Because the truth is, real development takes time. It takes patience. It takes doing right by the horse, not rushing the process to create something that looks finished before it’s ready.
This is the real journey.

Meet Vila… Charlotte’s lovely 4-year-old Oldenburg mare.
Purchasing a “made” horse wasn’t in the cards for us, but bringing Vila into our lives has truly been a blessing in disguise.
In just five months, this journey has been filled with learning moments, humbling moments, and so much growth. Charlotte is learning what it really means to bring along a young horse—patience, consistency, and trust, one ride at a time.
It’s not always easy, but it’s real, and it’s shaping her in ways that go far beyond the arena.

This is where it all began.
A small arena, a young girl, and a moment that changed everything.
Charlotte watched a Grand Prix dressage freestyle for the first time… and something just clicked. You could see it, the spark, the focus, the dream starting to take shape.
And right beside her was Eddie… her unicorn horse. 🦄
The one who taught her, guided her, and gave her the confidence to believe she could do this.
No big stages.
No spotlight.
Just the very beginning of something special.
So many moments that never make it into the spotlight. The laughs, the friendships, and the fun of showing horses together.

August 11, 2024. Rocky was a rockstar at his very first Caledon show. Together Rocky and Charlotte secured weekend Champion. We were all so proud of this team!

From the time Charlotte could walk, horses were already part of her world. They were woven into our daily lives, from time at the barn to quiet moments spent simply being around them.
What began as a natural curiosity grew into a deep love for horses and the sport that surrounds them. Looking back now, it’s amazing to see how those early moments laid the foundation for the journey we are on today.

Chapter Exert- The Rocking Horse
She would climb onto that horse with the seriousness of a seasoned rider, gripping the handles as if they were reins, rocking back and forth with fierce concentration. In her mind, she wasn’t in the living room. She was in a grand arena, riding toward something bigger than either of us could fully understand at the time.
Back then, it was just play.
Or at least that’s what I thought.
Looking back now, I realize that little rocking horse held the very first spark of something extraordinary. Long before the early mornings, the competitions, the sacrifices, and the miles traveled chasing a dream, there was simply a little girl and a wooden horse — and the quiet beginnings of a journey neither of us yet knew we were on.
