A sincere desire to connect with God involves a willingness:
– to connect with the idea of forgiveness
– to connect with our own sin and weaknesses
– to connect with God's blueprint for living (The Bible)
Ways we connect with God:
– participation in Sunday Services
– teaching during Sunday School
– interactive prayer meetings
– an alpha program
– nurturing a personal commitment to prayer & Bible study in the home
Our secondary objective is to help people connect with one another in a Christ centered way.
Matthew 22:37-39 says, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself." Some of you may feel you can work out the God thing on your own. This scripture indicates that God 's plan isn't for you to be an island unto yourself. I know it can sound startling, that God would use imperfect people as part of His plan for your growth, but our church is committed to presenting a 'VIEW' of God that 'CONNECTS' people.
Our programs are being structured to welcome participants from the community to be involved.
Together, we're striving to make a difference in people's lives – in all walks of life, and at all stages of life. It's our desire to equip and empower people to be all who God created them to be, and in so doing, become dynamic and relevant expressions of Jesus Christ in every sphere of influence: in our homes, our neighbourhoods and our places of work.
So why don't you join us on a Sunday morning to see if our 'VIEW' of God 'CONNECTS' with you! Looking forward to meeting you and your family.
Blessings,
Rev. Michael Lee
