We’re thrilled to announce that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted orphan drug designation for our autologous islet transplantation for the prevention of diabetes due to pancreatectomy, a procedure often leading to the development of Type 3c diabetes ( ).

T3cD is a secondary form of often resulting from a pancreatectomy for patients with chronic pancreatitis or damage to the pancreas. This designation underscores the potential of our program to address a critical gap in care for people living with T3cD.
