Cool Kid Summer is happening throughout Walt Disney World with tons of activities, snacks, and characters 🤩. Two of my favorite events are Jessie’s Roundup: A Rip-Roarin’ R***e 🤠 and Bluey’s Wild World at Conservation Station 🦁. Both are a great way to get some A/C, jam out to some fun tunes, and have a dance party. 🎶💃

I absolutely LOVE the Boulder Ridge Villas at Wilderness Lodge; this resort is absolutely stunning, and there are so many new details, spaces, and magic to discover with every visit. ✨

One of these magical spaces is the Carolwood Pacific Room; this room was a dedication to Walt Disney and his love of trains and the great American Railway. If you have a chance to explore this room, if you head towards the back wall, you'll see a unique piece of Disney history! 👀

In the 1950s, Walt had built a scaled down railroad on the Walt Disney Studio lot, which was then transferred over to his backyard in LA. Named after his wife, Carol, this artifact is on loan from the Walt Disney Family Museum, including two original pieces of that train with the authentic track, and is now residing in this beautiful space at Disney World! 🚂 ~Elyse

Hollywood Studios is one of my favorite parks at Walt Disney World. Within this park, one of the areas I think is the most fun is, of course, Toy Story Land!

Toy Story Land is meant to shrink you to the size of a toy, right in Andy’s own backyard. With that, there are loads of fun easter eggs and hidden details just in this little corner of Walt Disney World! Here are a few of my faves;

👀In Toy Story Mania before loading onto the ride vehicle, you’ll pass under a box marked with a barcode (“121506”). This barcode is actually a nod to December 15 2006 - the date when the attraction was first announced at Walt Disney World!

🐶 In the queue of Slinky Dog Dash, you’ll also see a dog tag - a nod to Andy’s dog, Buster!

🍕 At Alien Swirling Saucers, each of the ride vehicles have a rocket in the shape of a Pizza Slice - a nod to the famous restaurant, Pizza Planet, in the Toy Story films!

This might be a controversial opinion but…I LOVE split stays! 😎✨

Now, I know some people feel differently but let me tell you why I’m a split stay stan!

When it comes to DVC resorts, my mindset is “the more the merrier!” and I eventually want to cross every resort off my wish list. Split stays let me cross off multiple resorts in a single trip! Also, Disney makes it SO EASY! When the time comes to switch resorts, Bell Services will gladly transport your luggage for you, and you can jet off to the parks as usual (just make sure you take anything you’ll need through the day in your park bag!) 🏰🧳

Split stays also give you the chance to experience different resort themes, amenities, and locations, and can be a great way to break up your accommodation budget but still cross that dream resort off your list (for example, I once did a split stay where I stayed 4 nights at Saratoga Springs and 2 nights at Grand Floridian!)

Last December ⏪, when staying at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, before our dining reservation at Steakhouse 71, we had some time to spare, and we were planning to stop by the campfire 🔥. However, it started to rain 🌧 in typical Florida fashion. So we pivoted and headed to the Community Hall. And boy, was it a fun time 🤩! We were the only group in there and spent some time coloring while watching one of the greatest movies of all time, High School Musical 2 🥰. It's definitely not the evening we had planned, but it turned into a night that we won't forget!
