Lovedance and its operator has finally returned to Canada after spending some time in Berlin. And as usual, I am followed by heavy boxed with heavy basslines. The first four arrived today. It is safe to say that you can expect a riddim attack that will bring down Babylon and blow you to full Watts soon. Some of these 45s still smell like Jamaica 🇯🇲 and I am glad they were not pulled by customs. Lovedance come fi conquer! Run it, Selekta!

My dad taught me two things about digging and records: 1. Always judge a record by the cover 2. Always listen if the cover rocks. J.R. Banfi’s “Galaxy, My Dear” is a record that he certainly bought for the Sci Fi reference. Banfi played keyboards with the Italian prog rock outfit Un Biglietto per l’Inferno. But it is on this unaccompanied late 1970s electronic solo album that his synthesizers sing like Klaus Schulze’s or the Berlin school. I think I am getting an Acid hang-over in the cosmic loneliness of my sofa chair and will change into my overall soon. Have a great Sunday!
