Time to get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. TVCC has put together a list of accessible trails in the area. Check it out!
In honour of Parks and Rec Month, we've compiled a list of some accessible trails in Southwestern Ontario. 🌳🧑🦽
For the full list visit: ontarionaturetrails.com/trail-features/wheel-chair-accessible/
What makes a trail accessible?
➡ Entrances with openings that are 85 centimetres to 1 meter wide
➡ Detailed and legible signage at each trailhead
➡ Widths of at least 1 meter and headroom clearances of 2.1 meters
➡ Long, narrow openings at right angles to the direction of travel
➡ Firm, stable surfaces with openings smaller than 2 centimetres so mobility devices can’t get stuck
➡ Raised barriers next to water or drop-offs

Low sensory night is coming up at the London Childrens Museum on June 21st.
✨There is still space available for our upcoming Low Sensory Night, on Tuesday, June 21, at 6 pm! Learn more and register: londonchildrensmuseum.ca/calendar/events/low-sensory-night
⭐Low Sensory Nights offer children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), physical or cognitive disabilities, or sensory processing considerations, and their families with a quieter museum experience. With extremely limited attendance, Low Sensory Nights turn down the noise, crowds, and stimulation of a typical day.
🤸♀️The London Children’s Museum believes every child should have access to hands-on learning in a safe and welcoming environment.
👩👦👦We also recognize that children and families face different barriers that prevent them from participating in enriching play experiences. With the help of our generous donors, the London Children’s Museum works to address these barriers.
💜We are so grateful to the Agape Foundation of London and a special gift made in honour of Ann Marie and Holly Leigh Boyce, for supporting and sustaining Low Sensory Nights. With their help, Low Sensory Nights are completely free to attend.
