It is time to nominate and elect next year’s GSA! See below to nominate yourself. We are looking for representatives from all MBP locations.

If you are interested in being a part of the GSA please self-nominate yourself by Friday, August 9 @ 5PM.

To nominate yourself, please email the GSA ([email protected]) with your intent and a short explanation (~250 words) about why you want to run. This explanation will be distributed to all students before voting to help inform their decision. We hope you will consider this opportunity to support your fellow grad students!

ALUMNI TALK with Dr SSALI

You're invited to join the MBP GSA on April 17th at 4 pm for a Zoom talk by our Alumna, Dr. Tracy Ssali. Dr. Ssali, a former PhD trainee in MBP, will share her experience as a data scientist at Hamilton Health Sciences. This is a valuable opportunity to gain insights into her career journey and the path she took to reach her current position.

Join us for our second CAMPEP seminar series talk featuring Dr. Ananth Ravi on Friday January 19th, from 1-2 pm (EST) over Zoom (link provided below and on the poster). Dr. Ravi is currently the CEO and co-founder at MOLLI Surgical. Before he founded his company, he was a medical physicist at the Odette Cancer Centre at Sunnybrook where he served as the head of brachytherapy. During his time at Sunnybrook, he had affiliations as a professor at both UofT and TMU and lead a successful research program. He will be speaking on his experience as a medical physicist and how he was able to use that experience as he transitioned into industry. His talk, "From Clinical Physicist to Industry Co-Founder" promises an interesting discussion. All are welcome to attend!
