I built a reverb unit a few years ago. I used red and black lacquer for the front panel. I grew weary of that lame design. So, I glued some grill cloth on, made a brass panel with water slide decals. Meh, it's a bit better. Maybe it'll look better with new k***s. Those silver ones are too large diameter.

Found a beauty neck for my recent telecaster acquisition. Roasted flame maple.

The latest project is a Fender 6G15 Reverb Unit.

I have been lucky enough to try out some fun old amps over the summer. I enjoy old tube amp tone.

I got this cool retro speaker cabinet and wanted to do something with it. Then a small floor tube radio came along. The chassis and power transformer were already wired up to two 6V6 tube sockets...half way to an amp. I've been down the floor radio road. They're not that practical. BUT! combine the two...Well, now you got yourself a Fender Vibrolux guitar amp. Vintage Jensen 10" alnico speaker and all.

Time to re-pot the faithful office companion. We've been through a lot. It deserves fresh yummy soil.

Had a fun project show up a couple weeks ago. Build a champ to look vintage. The owner relic'd the cabinet and chassis quite well. I built the amp part. Stuffed old capacitor cardboard with new caps. Looks cool, sounds great.

Interesting challenges came across my bench. Some old tube radios a friend would like converted to tube amps. I've always wanted to work on an old 1920's radio. They would make a great amp head.

1971 Super Reverb Rebuild Update.
New filter caps stuffed into the original cardboard capacitor tubes. New dog house cover. New bias components. Reconfigured circuit to AB763. Picked up a SFSR 4X10 amp cabinet. Medium to rough shape, but it cleaned up pretty good. The speaker grill is cracked and broken, due to particle board construction. I'm attempting to re-glue and reinforce the existing one.
