Just to say I’ve read all your comments and really am blown away by the support and love and compassion that people have shown over the last couple of days.
All hoops that were available are now sold (sorry to those of you in my DMs who have been asking) and everything should be shipped this week.
There are a couple of projects that are half finished - they may be added online if I finish them at any point and I’ll post about them here as and when, or you can add your email to the subscription list at saltstitches.com
Keep being excellent to each other 🩷

I’ve tried to write this post out about fifteen times over the last couple of days and I keep tripping over my words and over explaining things but I basically want to write a post that says I quit.
For reasons I’m not ready to talk about on the internet, i need to take some significant time away from work to be with my family.
It’s likely this may be a permanent decision.
If you’ve ever been interested in any of my pieces, now is your time - everything I have left is available with some silly discounts to hopefully clear my catalogue asap. Everything must go.
If you’ve supported my work over the last 6 years know that I appreciate you more than you could know, this has been one of the greatest privileges of my life to be able to create every day and call this my job.
If you’ve sent me a submission for the next DIY Kits, I’m so sorry they won’t be going ahead.
I’ll likely be leaving my instagram page up, as a record of everything I’ve been lucky enough to experience through this journey, but I won’t be checking anything or responding.
The lovely team over at has some great giveaways planned for the 6 months anniversary of my book, make sure you’re following their socials if you want to be in with a chance of winning, I know the timing of this is the wordy as far as promoting my first book.
I think that’s everything?

Every time I think I know what the outcome is going to be, when I put things to a vote on instagram, I am always really surprised by the winner. I guess it’s quite fitting that the texture that ultimately changed my life last year when this hoop won the Art Competition is also the texture that is going to feature in my last ever DIY Kit for .
Artists, illustrators, painters, graphic designers, and heck even tattoo artists have all contributed to previous kits - and I’ve been fortunate enough to work with some absolutely incredible people on the previous 12 kits since 2018.
If you have followed the kits for a while and always wanted to apply (or you’vee applied before and not been selected)- now is the time!
All of the info will be in my stories later today and saved into the DIY Highlogbt on my profile

Gwyrdd 🌿🌊
6” abstract embroidery hoop featuring Czech glass and semi precious stone bead details.
Another hoop taken from textures found at Trearddur Bay in Anglesey, North Wales because I’m ill and I’m missing the beach, and my mum, and the sea, so I’m making work that reminds me of all of it.

All of the hoops from my first book, Abstract Embroidery, are now available online.
The 10 pieces available are prices a little higher than my usual work, mainly because I am incredibly proud of this collection, but also because of their prominence in my first book.
There is an automatic 20% off for anyone who wants to pick one up between now and next Sunday, before they go back to their regular price.
These are all hard ones to let go of, I don’t know how I’m only keeping one of them to be honest 🩷

1858 🌿🌊
6” abstract embroidery hoop featuring Czech glass and semi precious stone bead details now available.
This hoop was taken from a graffiti covered section of wall inside the old Smithfield Market Building in Manchester, Mackie Mayor, during a trip back to Manchester in 2021.
The brightness of the sections are hard to capture when it’s uploaded to instagram but they’re as bright as a tennis ball 🎾
