Terra Corvid Mini-Basket Making Workshop is back!
When: Sunday Feb 22, 2024 from 11am to 3pm.
What to Expect: Learning the basics of basket-weaving in a miniature size, lead by myself, Oliver P. in a cozy group setting. Hand foraged materials to weave with will be provided.
Where: doughevlondon - 621 Dundas St.
How Much: $90 Per Person ($45 Non-refundable deposit which is deducted off your total, rest to be paid on day of the workshop)
$90 purchase comes with: Instructor lead workshop walking you through the basics of basket making and helping you troubleshoot problems. Spray bottle, clips, clipboard, hand-foraged materials (largely just ivy vines, some lily leaves may be available as well though). We’ll also have a discussion of invasive species that can be used for basket-making. Cost also includes 1 drink and 1 treat!
You are expected to bring your own towel. There will be plenty of plant material to go around for the afternoon, but if you want to bring your own dried out plant materials, I encourage you to do so! Please note: this is not a drop in session as there are limited materials and table space. Please book in advance.

Now for the self indulgent part. I really can’t thank Nat enough for documenting my exhibition and giving me these super stunning portraits. I feel so professional! :’) I’m already missing seeing my installation, visiting my paintings, collecting submissions from my vase…this was really a pivotal experience for me.

The Presentation Vase
Cone 5 stoneware, polychrome underglaze
$550
From my most recent exhibition, RAW|RELEASE. Displayed at .
This piece was one I have been wanting to make for some time. Inspired by a ‘Presentation Vase’ made by Anna Pottery in the 19th century and a long journey of tending to my mental health, I renewed elements of the original vase concept to create something that reflected my identity more deeply.
While this piece was being shown, I invited viewers to write down something they’ve been wanting to let go of, and to drop it into the vase as a practice of personal release. Hundreds of submissions were received, sharing anything from a quiet wanting to let go of shame, or the past, to as big as sharing a story of a harm that was done to them. I thank everyone who trusted me with their confessions and look forward to what ways I can use these submissions in the future, to continue this practice of letting go, of release.
