June 21st is Global ALS Awareness Day - and it matters.

ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that gradually takes away a person's ability to walk, speak, swallow, and breathe. There is still no cure.

Every 90 minutes, someone receives an ALS diagnosis. Behind each one is a person, a family, and a community that needs support.

Today, we stand with those living with ALS, their caregivers, and the researchers working tirelessly to change the story of this disease.

Together, we can make a difference.

Behind every successful clinical trial are participants and caregivers who feel supported, informed, and engaged.

Our Patient Caregiver Liaison (PCL) service helps create that connection: improving recruitment, strengthening retention, and enhancing the participant experience throughout the study journey.

Will you be attending ? We'd love to talk about how a more participant-centred approach can strengthen your next study, because it's not just about how fast we innovate, but how well that innovation truly benefits participants and caregivers.

Let's keep talking about why conversations with participants and caregivers matter in your studies. 📩 Email us at [email protected] to book a meeting with our experts.

How do you design clinical trials in pan-tumor indications?

Basket trials represent a significant evolution in precision oncology, and biostatistics is what makes them possible. The following article explores the challenges and solutions behind these study designs.

Behind every rare disease trial is a patient waiting for better treatment options.

From June 9 to 11, our team will be at the World Orphan Drug Congress in Boston, joining discussions on some of the most pressing challenges in rare disease development:
➡️ How we build evidence in small populations
➡️ Recruit and retain the patients who make trials possible
➡️ Navigate the challenges of rare disease trial ex*****on
➡️ Tackle the complexity of getting orphan therapies to the people who need them

If you're attending, we'd love to connect. Reach us at 📩 [email protected]

In , a well-designed trial can still struggle in ex*****on: statistics integrated too late, feasibility visits that don't capture clinical reality, and multidisciplinary coordination that no one manages proactively.

We've learned that success depends on four non-negotiable principles:
➡️ Talk directly with sites before relying on questionnaires
➡️ Integrate statistics and operations from the design stage
➡️ Treat communication as the engine of the study, not as support
➡️ Build adaptability into the protocol, don't improvise during ex*****on

These aren't theories. They're what we find every time we ask the questions others don't.

Will you be at in Chicago? Carrie Hamilton, our Executive Director of Clinical Science, will be available to discuss study design, feasibility, and ex*****on in rare oncology.

Clinical trial ex*****on today is challenged by protocol complexities, site variabilities and delays, vendor fragmentation and misaligned teams. It has a real cost for the companies developing the therapies and for the patients waiting for them.

This Thursday, May 7th, in Somerville, MA, senior executives from biopharma and biotech gather at for a working session focused on the practical realities of executing trials in today's environment.

Our President & CEO, Shantal Feltham, will be there. Because these are the conversations that matter, and the challenges we navigate in every study. Our model is built on close partnership with sites, patients, and caregivers, enabling a level of flexibility, accountability, and ex*****on that complex trials demand.

Running an ALS study is hard. It takes more than good science, it takes the right team behind the operation, aligned at every level, truly committed to getting promising treatments to the people who need them.

That's why means so much to us, and why we're proud to be a Bronze Sponsor of this event organized by the ALS Society of Canada.

The conference brings together key opinion leaders in the fight against ALS to have conversations that will truly drive progress in this field. See you in Toronto on April 25–26?

Shantal Feltham, our President & CEO, as well as Lisa Leppanen, Clinical Science Specialist, will be there to connect and talk about our work supporting ALS studies.
