Behold! The brand new FrankenSteintific Incubator!

We’ve decided to continue expanding our empire following the resounding success of our pumpkinfuge last year.

This is our lab’s submission to the annual Western Biochemistry Graduate Student Association - BGSA pumpkin carving contest! This year, we decided to dabble in agar art (aka melting old plates and then dumping in a bunch of loading dye).

Presenting: The Unbalanced Pumpkinfuge!

To create this masterpiece, we needed a motor, soldering iron, epoxy, hot glue, two battery packs, drywall screws, and a whole lot of creativity and patience.

Nothing scarier than an unbalanced centrifuge! Happy Halloween everyone.
