We are happy to share an update on our Community Food Box Program!

In 2025, we provided 2,700 Community Food Boxes. This is equivalent to 62,155 pounds of produce, or just over 49,700 meals.🌟

The Community Food Box Program is for low-income Londoners who are at high risk of poor health outcomes. Living in poverty has long-term negative effects on our health, especially for those who struggle with shopping due to age or mobility.

Thanks to the generous support from the London Food Bank and the London Community Foundation, we have partnered with On The Move Organics (OTMO) to provide free boxes of fresh fruits and vegetables to our community. Inside each box is a combination of locally-sourced, fresh, and/or organic produce, including newsletters with recipes and information on upcoming events and programs LIFE*SPIN provides for free. Starting in the coming months, we are also adding a newsletter specifically for our seniors.

🍎A $50 donation provides 1 Community Food Box for one household that needs it most. You can donate to the project or learn more about the Community Food Box on our website. The link is in the comments below!

Our grassroots advocacy and community approach can show up in unexpected places—it even shows in our paint colours.

In collaboration with the Old East Village community and Benjamin Moore, we developed the Old East Village paint palette for the buildings in the neighbourhood. The palette features earthy and neutral tones for local businesses to use both indoors and outdoors. This shared palette helps create a shared identity for our community members and represents the voices of the community that helped choose it.

This palette shows our story and roots in the community. Through our partnerships, programs and connections, we thank you for being a part of the journey so far.
