The Holiday Get Down is something I anticipate now annually, only this time I got to shoot it and holy sh*tttttt. What a time!

Shooting concerts is always something I really enjoy, probably because it's a challenge.. low light lots of movement limited angles ect. But also, when a band is "big enough" they have an incredible house photographer, and there is also 8+ other photographers all shooting the same show together, it's not a bad thing.. it's actually pretty fun and collaborative. And so it pushes you to shoot stuff that will look a little different to what everyone else is shooting... I played around using filters and prisms, and slowing down my shutter a bit. I'm pretty happy with how these turned out. And I also got time for some serious dancing in.

Christmas looks a bit different this year, I am ok with it!

Hope you're all not too sick of Northern lights photo yet!

Mother nature put on quite the show last night....

I was literally crawling into bed and my phone started going wild, the lights were out and they were real strong.. and because I always have FOMO when I see pics after not going, I hopped outta bed, got dressed and hoped for the best.... annnnd, well it was so worth it! They were the strongest I have ever seen them with the naked eye.

Good chance of seeing them again tonight folks... for these I drove out of the city, North about 10 mins. I was around Richmond and Elginfield rd for these. Hope those that want to see them tonight get to!

Also, peep the starlink flying around in some of the images!

Because our cameras are not able to expose for the dark parts of an image (the car) and the light parts of an image (the northern lights) we edit! We either stack multiple images, or in this care use lightroom to lighten up the car.... here is a before and after if you are curios!

I just want to be perfectly clear about where we stand here... there are no 2 sides to a gen-oh-cide

Went out to Port Talbot to try see the Northern lights last night with my friend and fellow photographer Michelle, and although they were not as bright as other places we were able to catch them, also the stars did NOT disappoint! Worth braving the cold for, and also worth being freaked by all the howling coyotes that surrounded us!

Yesterday REALLY filled my creative soul.....
