A STAR BETWEEN THE HORNS

Since the earliest civilizations, people have been tracking and honouring the star Venus as both Deity and Way-Show-er.  It’s influence in our daily lives repeatedly leads us through our own personal underworld, through the portals of initiation, and toward our own path of ascension and reclamation. Whether we are paying attention to the Venusian influence in our lives or not, it’s a rhythm that we are all participating in.  When we attune ourselves to this flow, it grants us the gnosis of our divine celestial connection to the Goddess in ways only the initiated will know. 

This class will focus on the divine feminine Venusian mysteries of the Morning and Evening Star as well as the Divine Mother archetypes focalized within the Way of The Rose.

You will learn:
The synodic cycle of Venus; understanding the cycles of Venus in the sky, in our bodies, as well as how they manifest through our spiritual experience.  
The sacred names and mysterium of the Divine Mothers through the path of the Rose
How to connect with or deepen your connection with them through guided journey work
The her-story of the Rosary

The Magician of the major arcana is a figure of personal power. It brings forward the memory of that which we inherently hold, and the ability to shape our world with our will.

The concept for this shoot was to portray The Magician in his primal form. He is the one who tests your boundaries in order for you to remember yourself. I did NOT plan for him to look like the devil, that’s just how a quick makeup look and a red piece of fabric and some horns turned out. All those years on the set of fashion shoots and doing avantgarde makeup looks still comes in handy I guess. In retrospect, he came out perfectly.

“The Red magician comes forward through the path of shadow to challenge and to liberate.
Here, the Seeker is returned to the Power of their blood (lineage, sacred memory) and connectedness to all things.

He who holds the darkness knows the light.”

When I was shooting this (at 1 am in our living room once our teething baby finally went to sleep) knowing that it was going to be plastered all over the cities transit system, I asked Nyxx, “Is this too Satanic?” He said “ It’s a little Satanic babe”. Part of me was nervous about that, the majority of me knew it was perfect.

We live in a very conservative city. The fact that our brick and mortar has survived here for 7 years this fall is something. The Red Magician is going to do two things: terrify the Catholics and intrigue the viewer so much that they want to know more. It may also bring all the pamphlet flogging Mormons to our party. Either way, his presence will spark the very part of your soul that it is intended to; the part that keeps you small, hidden and afraid. The question is, will you rise to meet him? Will you follow him through the shadows of our own Underworld to remember the Magick that you are? Will you meet the Primal Will within you that is begging to be set free?

Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces
 
The end of a Karmic Cycle and the beginning of a new way of being.
 
Pisces is the dreamer, the feeler and the healer.  We meet one another under this Full Moon in the North Node amidst radical change.   These eclipses have been one hell of a ride. This Full Moon begins to illuminate what it has all been for.   It’s the closing of a chapter that we began opening our eyes to back in 2024.  Like all deep transformation, this one has been unfolding slowly and now asks us to soften as it comes forward from within.  The final zodiac sign, Pisces is the final note in this long montage of lessons around boundaries and discernment; learning to hold what is ours and to release what is not ours to alchemize.
 
There is a feeling of readiness, and of soulful purpose that meets us here at this threshold. That’s the beauty of slow revelation. You meet yourself with clarity and the inner knowing that what is meant for you is ready to arrive, and you know what has to be laid to rest to make space for it to land.
