Who knows if we are going to lose our factories, who knows if the cars will be good in the winter with salt, who knows if they can monitor all the cameras In the car without our approval.
I’m just excited to finally put pressure on all the years of minor improvements when the shiver Evs down our throat at insane costs.
I spent the week with the Hyundai Elantra N TCR, and man, this thing’s a trip. It’s got that raw manual gearbox that actually makes you want to drive — every shift feels crisp, direct, mechanical in the best way. You can tell this car was built by people who actually care about driving. The power comes from a 2.0-litre turbo that pushes just under 280 horsepower, which sounds good on paper, but it feels even better in motion. It’s punchy, the throttle response is instant, and the pops on downshifts make you grin every time.
The big carbon-fiber wing definitely had me second-guessing myself at stoplights — it’s huge — but once you’re moving, you kinda forget about it. It’s planted, it’s stable, and somehow it still works as a daily. The ride isn’t too stiff, and the steering feels super alive. The brakes — big four-piston monoblocks with two-piece rotors — bite hard when you want them to, but they’re not twitchy.
What I liked most was that it didn’t feel like a wannabe race car trying too hard. It’s playful when you want it to be, comfortable when you just want to drive home. With the forged 19-inch wheels, the Alcantara touches inside, and that N performance blue seat belt popping out, it actually feels special. Starting around forty-seven grand in Canada, it’s not cheap, but it delivers a lot more attitude than most cars twice the price.
Honestly, the Elantra N TCR is one of those cars that reminds you what driving used to feel like — before everything went electric, filtered, and disconnected. It’s raw, simple, and just straight-up fun.

Humans, Porsches and the New Porsche Experience Center.
Blessed to spend Tuesday with some of my favourite humans, some old, some new…experiencing the 911s at Canadas First Porsche Experience Center. This is the 10th one globally and North Americas 3rd facility.
It is a technical track where you can experience your Porsche that is less than 40kms from Downtown Toronto.
The two-kilometre driver development handling circuit has several elements inspired by iconic racetrack sections such as Laguna Seca’s corkscrew, Nürburgring’s Carousel, and the Porsche Curves from Le Mans. The handling circuit, dynamics area, low-friction handling circuit, and low-friction drift circle.
The Porsche Experience Centre Toronto is the first of its kind to feature an urban concept with a conscious effort to provide flexible space options. On the main level, you will be able to enjoy an artisanal coffee and indulge in culinary creations at the Carrera Café or visit the Porsche Lifestyle Shop featuring a selection of apparel, accessories, model cars, and lifestyle products. In addition, guests can find a lab with five cutting-edge simulators. Behind the wheel of a virtual Porsche, they can race against themselves or someone else on racetracks from around the world. The lower level is the gateway to the circuit while the upper floor incorporates meeting rooms to accommodate groups.
