I have been in a lot of hotel rooms. This one stopped me in my tracks.
Conrad Tokyo sits on floors 28 to 37 of the Shiodome skyscraper — and from the moment the elevator opens into the 28th-floor Sky Lobby, the city noise just stops. Triple-height ceilings. Hamarikyu Gardens on one side. Tokyo Bay on the other. Both treated like living art.
The rooms are among the largest in Tokyo, done in dark wood and organic textures with floor-to-ceiling windows throughout. The bathrooms are properly excessive — freestanding tubs, separate rain showers, and a window through which you can watch TV from the tub. The Mizuki Spa sprawls across the 29th floor with a 25-metre pool and panoramic skyline views.
This is what Tokyo looks like when every detail is taken care of before you arrive.
