Staycation Pools

Busy week for the crew getting this patio wrapped up. From prep to pour, stamp, wash, antique, and sealer, there were a lot of steps to bring this one together.

This stamp pattern can be a pain in the butt to work with, but the finished product is always worth it. We finished it off with a dark grey antique to add some depth and topped it with sealer to help lock in that colour for years to come.

The finishing touches are starting to tie everything together with river rock accents, sweet gum trees, and a row of cedars that will provide some extra privacy as they fill in over the coming years.

A little fresh sod around the patio really makes the concrete pop. Safe to say this backyard is starting to come together nicely 👌🏻

This country project is really starting to take shape, and those early morning views are straight out of a country song 🌅

We’re getting closer to patio pour day, while Jay McKinnon crew keeps rolling on the rock work and gardens. Looking forward to seeing all the pieces come together and bringing this backyard to life.

Not every pool build starts with easy access.

This backyard came with a tight squeeze, so the big machines stayed home and the mini excavators and mini skid steers got the call. Loading bins instead of dump trucks definitely adds a few extra steps, but that’s all part of the process when you’re building a backyard oasis in a hard to reach space.

A fun challenge for the crew and some great progress so far. Stay tuned as this one starts to take shape. 💦🏊‍♂️

Concrete pumping with a view ✈️ Sometimes the only way in is up and over. Harmer Concrete Pumping sending concrete right over the house into this hard to reach backyard build. We use pumpers on almost all of our projects to keep pours cleaner, jobs moving faster, and the crew working efficiently on site. This setup was perfect for pouring our footings and rough bottom while reaching areas that would have been tough to access otherwise. 💪 Pretty cool watching this one come together from above #concretepumping #concrete #heavyequipment #construction #poolbuilder

Another step closer to a backyard oasis 🌴
Pool side is wrapped up just in time for some beautiful weather. Landscaping still has to happen, but it’s already coming together nicely 👌

Halfway through excavation we ran into some big boulders, but the crew pushed through and kept things moving 👊 Retaining wall is in and this backyard is starting to take shape
