PAWS supports urgent vet care and preventive spay/neuter/vax to help reduce surrenders and euthanasia in SW Ontario
Progressive Animal Welfare Services (PAWS) is 100% volunteer run, working to help pet families in Ontario. PAWS subsidizes the costs of preventive and essential veterinary care for those who could not otherwise afford it, avoiding unnecessary euthanasia or surrender to shelters - keeping owners and their animal companions together!

Our PAWS fam is spread far and wide, and we would love for you to join us in solidarity on Saturday - even if you can’t come to our celebration in Komoka Park.
Let’s rally together to support the 75% of applicants who are turned away due to funds.
Register to fundraise or donate to help fur families access essential vet care including mobile vaccination programs, spay neuter procedures, and even life saving emergency care. Without funds we cannot support your neighbours. The proceeds of Steps for Pets will support households in Middlesex County, Hamilton, Waterloo Region, Brant County.

PAWS Canada is all about honouring and preserving that bond between humans and our beloved animal companions. Our core mission is keeping pets healthy and right where they belong, with their loving humans.

It is with deep gratitude that we thank saveourscruff for another donation! With this one even bigger than the last, they will have covered the subsidy of 40 dog spay/neuters this year!
Like PAWS Canada, SOS believes in tackling the overpopulation crisis at the root - by preventing it in the first place. By helping families to spay and neuter their pets we improve the dog’s health, prevent unwanted litters and therefore needless suffering, and reduce the strain on the over extended / underfunded rescues and shelters.
We are so grateful for our strong community partners. Together we can achieve great things!
Your pet is your family. We believe that one should ever have to choose between paying rent and getting their pet the veterinary care that they need. We receive almost 2,000 applications a year from people who want to do what’s best for their pet but just can’t make ends meet.
When you donate to PAWS or join in the Steps for Pets Walkathon - London, you’re helping a family access urgent or preventative care for their beloved cat or dog. You are contributing to the wellness of pets, the mental health of their owner, the reduction of suffering, and supporting public health by preventing communicable disease.
