A chiffon cake with raspberries and strawberries with a layer of white chocolate crisp pearls and white chocolate cream cheese frosting

I know this is not normally the type of cake I do, but when that's what your eight year old wants for his birthday, that's what you give him.
It doesn't look exactly like how I had in my mind, but the flavors are very well balanced and turned out delicious. What better proof than that of your mother-in-law went back for a second slice!
The cake is a layered chocolate sponge with raspberry jelly, chocolate mousse, dark chocolate crisp pearls, one layer of white chocolate Swiss meringue buttercream, enclosed with dark chocolate mirror glaze. By the way, it's an octopus. 🐙 Cause the birthday boy turned eight. 😁
