'Tis the season for the spring Snow Goose migration! This photo was taken on March 23 at Tyrrell Lake. Horsefly Lake is likewise hosting tens of thousands of geese. If you want to see the big goose flocks, be sure to head out in the next week or two.

Thanks to all who joined us for our birding walk at Taber Municipal Park this morning—it was a good time! Over forty species made an appearance, including migrating Mourning Warbler, Blackpoll Warbler, and Red-eyed Vireo.
Here's a shot of the group at the end of the walk. Nature Lethbridge President Gordon Butt sneakily avoided being in the photo by taking it. But that's no problem! We've photoshopped him in.

Thanks to the two dozen people who came out to the Park Lake field trip yesterday evening! Highlights included a migrating Olive-sided Flycatcher, stunning views of a Baltimore Oriole, and several flocks of White-faced Ibis passing overhead.
Our next field trip—to the MD of Taber Municipal Park—is scheduled for August 23.

Thanks to Jessenia Buzunis-Delagneau for leading our field trip yesterday evening! The gardens at Legacy Park were teeming with bumble bees, including this Great Basin Bumble Bee.
Quote of the outing: "They don't like it when you pet them."
