The Chicken Bacon Ranch

Chicken breasts, thighs and drumsticks are now available! Im hoping to get one more batch of chicks before winter, for both whole birds and cuts again. Help me empty the freezer!

Our day started at 4:30am and we were on the road by 5am to go bring chickens to the butcher 2 hours away. We like to be first in line but someone always seems to beat us there. Today we are 5th in line, which is still pretty good considering the line up behind us is really really long!
After drop off, we spend some time in Strathmore checking out the antique shops and other stores and have a nice breakfast.
If you're looking for fresh chicken let me know. Im thinking most of this group will be going into individual cuts so they won't be ready for pickup till tomorrow.
But if you want whole chickens to cut up your self, I will have them in bulk bags of 5 tonight. 🐔🐔

Given the recent influx of new followers, I feel it is appropriate to introduce myself properly. Hello, my name is Erica Mans, and I am the main face behind The Chicken Bacon Ranch. I am fortunate to have the support of my husband, John, who motivates me to think creatively and expand my horizons. My children, Maelle, Cregg, Kayleigh, and Zayne, are a constant source of inspiration, and I aim to teach them the importance of perseverance in achieving their objectives. Our farm is home to a diverse range of animals, including chickens, pigs, meat chickens, and turkeys, as well as a significant cow/calf operation and crop cultivation. All family members are actively involved in the farm's daily operations and possess a deep understanding of its inner workings. Additionally, I lead one 4H club and co-lead another with John, while our children participate in two clubs focused on sheep and beef. They are currently on a break from their schoolwork and will resume their homeschooling in the fall.
