What happens if the deal is already firm… but the house floods before possession? 😬

It’s one of those situations most buyers and sellers probably don’t think about until it actually happens.

Maybe there’s flooding, water damage, or something else that needs to be dealt with between the time the deal goes final and the new owner takes possession.

It can be a headache, but it doesn’t mean the deal falls apart. Depending on the situation, lawyers, insurance companies, and other professionals may need to get involved to make sure everything is handled properly.
