Kamachi Custom Carpentry

Here are some pictures of the work I have done at the 'Idea' building over the past few years. This building is AMAZING and rich in history. Built in 1911 from timbers salvaged and re-milled from our original train bridge in 1895. The building was originally built as a three story but the top floor burnt down in 1922.
In this post Kamachi Custom Carpentry built work stations/tables out of old existing wood from the original building. The tops are Oak and the legs are Fir. An entrance privacy wall was also built, framed, drywalled and then angled Fir slats were designed and added to create an entry divider.
It was a pleasure working with Onyx Realty. They gave me lots of artistic freedom which was very rewarding.

Office work. Here are some photos of the office renovation I did for Merge Mortgage Group. Jarrod had some cool ideas like the bold LED sign as well as the live-edge wood slabs all around. The free, bright wall colours, combined with the natural wood tones make this office feel very inviting.

Cedar Live-Edge, Epoxy River-Table! This is a 48" x 11" entry-room table. This project was a lot of fun for me. Loved building the tapered, curved legs. It's always great to learn new techniques! I tinted the epoxy with black pigment and buffed it to a matte finish, then sealed the live edge wood.

Solid Oak built-in wine rack with custom sized storage drawers. All the doors and shelves are built from solid oak and a brushed metal inlay was added to the front of the shelves and to the square pattern on the face of the doors. A mirror above the granite countertop installed to add depth to the room and LED lights to highlight each shelf. This unit has a capacity to hold around 200 bottles.

Massive 13' Floating Media Console made of Black Walnut. Adjustable shelf inside for record player and slots for records. Rolling bypass doors to cover it all up.

Special little box was made from wood reclaimed from the family's old farm. The client made the beautiful stained glass piece on the front. This front frame is attached with magnets so that new glass designs can be added in the future. Working with old barnwood was definitely new to me but lots of fun!

One of the many offices that I have/am currently re-modeling at the Idea building downtown Lethbridge. This room got some custom Acacia Butcher-block desks for computer and work stations. A couple decorative panels on the walls as well, to clean it up!

Kamachi Custom Carpentry built and painted bookshelves and mantel around a pre-existing stone fireplace. I added some mdf ship-lap and a custom crown moulding to the top. Very clean and functional!
