As a Budtender you will drive dispensary sales through product education and curating the perfect retail experience based on individual customer needs. Most of the position requires that you manage sales transactions, keep up with new product education, maintain the stores appearance and ensuring customer satisfaction.

A basic understanding of cannabis is preferred, but a willingness to learn is essential. Excellent conversational skills and a minimum 2 years of customer service is ideal but not required.

Qualifications
· Must be at least 18 years of age.
· At least 1 year of experience in a retail environment.
· High School Diploma preferred.
· Must be a Qualified Cannabis Worker and present certificate for verification.
· Must complete Alberta’s Sellsafe and present certificate for verification.
· Cannabis experience is an asset.
· Adheres to all cannabis regulatory requirements.
· Possess a team player mentality and works in favour of a common goal.
· Wants to consistently improve skill set through learning and team feedback.

Responsibilities
· Provide outstanding customer experience throughout the shopping experience.
· Provide customers with product recommendations based on strains, cannabinoids, available products, and customer needs.
· Possess extensive knowledge of cannabis products and accessories for sale in the dispensary and keeping up with new products that arrive in the store.
· Operate cash register and computer-based POS system.
· Ask for customers identification to verify they are of legal age to purchase cannabis with every sales transaction.
· Managing cash and product floats at the beginning and end of each shift.
· Fill downtime during shifts with general housekeeping activities such as cleaning, stocking, or organizing.
· Follow the company dress code and maintain personal appearance.
· Report any suspicious behaviour or abusive customers to management.

This is Faris Hytiaa born in Toronto, ON raised in London, On and lived in Lethbridge for 11 years. Faris is the Co-owner of Good Times Lethbridge Comedy Club. He was born in Toronto to Sudanese parents and then raised in Alberta, Faris brings a unique mix of storytelling and observational humour to the stage. Known for his relaxed delivery and quick wit, his unpredictable style makes for big laughs and unforgettable crowd work moments. A Yuk Yuk’s regular, Faris has been featured at Just For Laughs Vancouver, Sled Island 2022, the Craft Island Comedy Festival (x2) and has toured all over Canada, headlining and opening for some of North America’s best comedians. Faris also partnered with Telus STORYHIVE to film Telus' first ever comedy special, SEND HELP, released in February 2023. In film, Faris featured in the CIFF-selected Open Mic at the Comedy Cabaret, his first foray into acting.

Clement Esene is the Co-Founder and Executive Director, BIPOC Foundation. He is also the CO-Founder and COO of Daniola Corporation. He was born and raised in Nigeria where he started out his journey. He arrived in Canada as an international student for his Post Graduate Education about 12 years ago. Clement is married to Sinmi and they have an amazing son. He moved to Lethbridge about 4 years ago, just before the pandemic and has since made Lethbridge home.

The Foundation aims to advance racial equality and gender equality while building awareness to eliminate anti-blackness and Indigenous invisibility to create significant entrepreneurship opportunities for diverse communities. The vision is To advance Economic Empowerment, Financial Inclusion, and Representation for all underestimated entrepreneurs Globally
Clement believes in a united, engaged and empowered community and serves the community at different levels. He is currently the Vice-President of the association of Nigerians in Lethbridge.
