Thank you, Leduc! I’m honoured and humbled to be elected as Leduc’s next Mayor. I’m deeply grateful to those that voted for me and believed in my vision for change to move Leduc forward.
I’ve been door knocking for the last five months and I heard it clearly on the doors – folks wanted some changes in the City of Leduc. I’m committed to doing that work and leading change in our community together with the new council.
I’d like to congratulate the newly elected members of council – Brett, Jill, Bill, Ryley, Laura, and Shawn. The first order of business is to bring the new council together to build a strong team that will work together towards collaborative solutions for the betterment of Leduc.
I’d also like to thank all of those that ran for both Mayor and Council. It takes a lot of commitment and love of our community to step up and run for public office. You all helped create greater interest and engagement in this democratic process and that’s commendable.
Lastly, I’d like to thank my fiancée, Ester, my family and volunteers. Simply speaking, there isn’t a campaign without you all. Thank you.

Well the votes are counted (lately, manually, expensively) and we have some unofficial results!
An especial congratulations to my good friend Elect Lars Hansen for Mayor, and my former benchmates Re-Elect Laura Tillack - City of Leduc and Councillor Bill Hamilton. Congratulations to the newly elected as well. I anticipate you will all do us proud!
Thank you to Councillor Glen Finstad for your years of service and for putting your name forward again.
Thank you to all the other challengers. Very few people know what it's like to run in a campaign. The work is hard and has high highs and low lows. You're putting yourself out there and I know, this could feel like a stinging rejection. If you feel that way, you're entitled to, but I hope you also feel proud for having done what so few will do, putting your name out there and saying to people, "I will give you everything I have for the next four years." It's an achievement unto itself, and you ought to be proud. I've lost a lot of fights in my life too, defeat is hard but you come out a better person for it. Suffering a defeat does not mean that you are defeated.
