Select Roses

Just some pretty photos of a few spots of my garden. Love hydrangea time. The largest one is a 30 year old Lime Light the pretty delicate blue is a fav ones called Star gazer. It’s fussy but so worth it ! The long border goes on both sides of the berm. It starts in spring with a couple thousand daffodils.

Our beautiful Alaiza rose looking lovely and healthy right next to roses with some black spot at the famous Butchart gardens. Melissa And her team do a great job in a no spray garden setting. Melissa is also the darling I named our Melissa Darling” rose for. Both are delightful ! 😁❤️

Hi everyone. I’m looking for a local person who has a plant of a rose I bred called “Frilly Lily” we want to get it back into production so I need to take a few cuttings . Please let me know if you have a plant and local to me. Thanks ! She’s a bright electric pink very compact.

Thank you all for the warm wishes , memories and stories of meeting my Jedi Knight over the years . My mother and I have been overwhelmed with the volume of emails , messages and post. Although it’s not possible to get back to each of you , know that your thoughts and kind words have been received and appreciated. It’s very comforting to know you’re not alone in sharing such a special bond with a pet. Jedi and I loved watching Star Wars , hence his name and power behind that bond. With appreciation Brad and Mom Jalbert.

It’s with profound sadness and shock that I must let all Jedis friends and
fans know of his sudden passing.

Jedi was born Oct 2, 2018 in a litter of 11 that I helped bring into the
world. He was put to rest with his head in my lap July 11. His life was one
of complete happiness and Joy right until his final days. He led such a
wonderful doggy life, never alone, playing in the garden, chasing rabbits off
our carrots and seeing his family and friends daily. I know he felt how
loved he was. Cancer took my boy before his time and I’m so thankful for
every moment we shared together.

Jedi met thousands of people who visited Select Roses over the years and was
adored by thousands more across social media. He loved people and meeting
visitors to the farm often wandering from person to person to say hello in
his special way. His videos and photos often received more comments than the
roses. I loved talking to him and would tell him about his fans and oh did
he love the camera and it loved him. He was the most incredibly Handsome dog
most had ever seen.

I’ve had many dogs during my life and loved them all, but I’ve never had a
dog like Jedi, our bond was so deep. Jedi felt so very human to me, from the
way he would smile and listen to my every word. I loved telling him stories
and made-up silly songs to sing to him. Nobody has ever heard me sing, but
Jedi would hear me daily. When I told him jokes and laughed, I could feel
and see him laughing along with me. He was so fun loving, silly yet the
perfect gentlemen all at the same time. In my eyes and heart, he was as
close to perfection as any creature I have ever met.

He was with me daily and loved seeing my parents daily. My siblings always
loved what a unique and special character he was. He would play with my
sibling’s dogs and had a special play relationship with a farm dog next door
named Noodle. Momma said it made her so happy to see them running free in
the field together, like children chasing each other around, barking with joy. ** continued in comments below.
