Changes to Occupational First Aid Training

As of September 1, 2024 the following changes will be taking place with the WorksafeBC first aid courses:

Occupational First Aid Level 1 will now be called Basic First Aid and will continue to be a one day course.

Occupational First Aid Level 2 will now be called Intermediate First Aid and will go from being a five day course to a two day course.

Occupational First Aid Level 3 will now be called Advanced First Aid and will continue to be a ten day course.

Valley First Aid will be offering the new Basic and Intermediate First Aid courses as of August 1, 2024. The new Advanced First Aid will be offered as of September 1, 2024 once the new training materials are released by WorkSafeBC.

Level One Instructor School

Have you been inspired to teach by one of your instructors, or have you considered the possibility of teaching as a part time job?
If so, Valley First Aid is running a Level One Instructor School. Limited space available.

August 3 to 7, 2021
Tuesday to Saturday - 8:00am to 4:00pm

Prerequisites:
• Hold current/valid Standard First Aid certificate or higher for a minimum of at least one year

• Have been employed as a designated first aid attendant for at least 1 year (Letter from employer will work)


• Complete a WorkSafeBC Jurisprudence Package. (provided by Valley First Aid)

• Have successfully participated in a complete OFA Level 1 or OFA Level 1 equivalent course prior to initial Instructor training.

• Be at least 18 years of age prior to instructor training


Fee: $950.00 per person
