If you’ve been around Vancouver lately, you’ve likely seen one of our buildings! But if you haven’t, this aerial tour will show you what they look like in action.

From multi-storey offices and site support spaces to washroom units and everything in between, we deliver the spaces projects need, wherever and whenever they need it.

It’s a busy week for the Fort Modular team as we head to two industry conferences across Canada!

This week, Rick Welch is attending the Educational Facility Managers Association (EFMA) of BC Conference in Penticton, connecting with school district leaders, facility managers, and industry partners to discuss modular solutions for education.

On June 4, Bryan DePedrina will be at the Offsite Construction Network Summit in Toronto, joining industry professionals from across North America to explore the future of offsite and modular construction.

We’re excited to connect with industry partners, share insights, and discuss how modular construction continues to provide innovative solutions for a wide range of projects.

If you're attending either event, be sure to connect with Rick in Penticton or Bryan in Toronto. We look forward to seeing you there!

We’re excited to share that Fort Modular is a Mo Awards finalist in the “Remarkable Workplace Campaign (Small-Medium)” category!

Movember is a cause that’s close to our hearts. Last year, we donated the proceeds from our Mo-dular units to men’s mental health and cancer research as part of our annual Movember initiative.

Our account manager, Jordan Steiger, is also nominated for “Mightiest Mo,” raising over over $9,000 in 2025 alone! Congrats, Jordan. We’re looking forward to the awards on May 28th.

Momentum is continuing to grow around modular construction in Canada’s housing industry.

As Mark Carney highlights modular and factory-built housing through the Build Canada Homes program, it’s clear that faster, more efficient construction methods will play an important role in helping address Canada’s housing shortage.

At Fort Modular, we’ve been building this way for years.

From housing and workforce accommodations to community infrastructure, modular construction helps projects move faster, improve efficiency, and deliver quality spaces where they’re needed most.

Fort Modular is ready to help build what’s next.

FORT is excited to be attending the BC Non-Profit Housing Association Lower Mainland RENT event this Thursday May 14th.

Rick and Ingerlisa will be joining housing professionals from across the region to connect and share updates on FORT’s standardized modular housing designs for infill, row housing, and low- to mid-rise apartments.

We’re also collaborating with First Nations and development partners to bundle modular housing projects for cost savings efficiencies.

If you’re attending and would like to learn more, let’s connect.

Over the past few months, the Heather Street site has gone from a fully assembled building, to partial disassembly with units being removed, to a cleared footprint. This timeline shows how modular buildings can be taken apart just as intentionally as they are put together.

As the building comes apart, each of the 69 modules is carefully disconnected, then craned and transported for future use, showing how modular allows for both speed in installation and efficiency in removal. Together, these modules supported 98 residential suites that are now being relocated and reused instead of demolished.

This project is a strong example of circular housing in action. By adapting and reusing existing modules, material waste is reduced and embodied carbon is retained, reinforcing the idea that the most sustainable building already exists.

A major milestone for this project and a reflection of the coordination and effort of our project managers, construction manager, site supervisors, and everyone involved in bringing it to this stage.

Federal funding is creating new momentum in housing, but how projects are delivered is becoming just as important as how they are financed.

As a locally and privately owned company, Fort Modular is focused on delivering practical, scalable solutions that align with both funding opportunities and the needs of our communities.

Modular construction and modern methods of construction are helping projects align with programs like Build Canada Homes by improving speed, certainty, and overall performance.

More projects are taking a hybrid approach, combining modular, panelized, traditional construction, and mass timber. Bringing these systems together effectively is where experience matters.

Across multiple projects, repeatable and standardized designs help reduce timelines, improve cost control, and create consistency.

Modular construction supports this with clear advantages:
• Faster delivery
• Higher level of completion off-site
• Greater cost and schedule certainty
• Reduced project risk
• Flexibility to phase construction with demand

If you’re exploring your next project, it starts with the right approach.

Fort Modular will be at World of Modular 2026 in Las Vegas!

This event continues to be one of the most important gatherings in the modular construction industry. We always look forward to the chance to connect with peers and partners to share ideas.

If you’ll be there, be sure to connect with Mark, Bryan, and Rick. We’re looking forward to some great conversations.
