It's been a busy few months for our team in Rwanda! 🇷🇼
We recently trained 72 Family Coaches & 11 head teachers in Bugesera, equipping them to help families with students at risk of dropping out or struggling to thrive at school. Through a 3-day workshop, participants learned about Asset-Based Community Development (which helps people recognize the strengths and resources around them and use these assets to drive their own development), and began discovering and mapping out the assets in their own communities.
We also gathered together some of the 178 Family Coaches we've trained in Rubavu, to monitor the progress of their work in supporting over 1,000 families. One of our trainers commented: "The ABCD learning has impacted these Family Coaches first, and the personal transformation they are experiencing is rippling out to the families they support."
Thank you for partnering with us and coming alongside these communities to see children thrive!
