Notice to customers

Due to the intense snowfall and to maintain the safety of our staff and customers, the La Ronge Landfill will be closed tomorrow Saturday April 25th.
We will be back to regular schedule on Monday April 27th.

We are hiring! Please share!

Hi everyone! Just a quick update to let you know that our clothing donation bins have been moved inside our yard.

If you’d like to drop off clothing donations, please come into the yard within working hours to access the bins. This change helps us keep the area cleaner and better manage donations.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out.

Please be advised that the La Ronge Regional Landfill has started burning the clean wood pile today, January 27. The LLRRWMC staff and fire department will be monitoring it closely.

* Shredder update *
We are back and running with our shredder. If you have shredding jobs that need to be done, please give us a call or stop by the recycling depot.

♻️ After the celebrations, don’t forget to recycle! If you have gift bags and wrapping paper that you will not reuse, you can recycle them at the Recycling Depot instead of throwing them away.

Just put them in a bag and bring them with your cardboard boxes! All gift bags and wrapping paper can go in the blue bin designated for paper, or they can also be brought inside.

*Reminder to the community:*
Do not let your dogs run loose at the La Ronge Regional Landfill. This is not allowed.

There are serious safety and health risks, including injuries from machinery and exposure to hazardous materials.

Please ensure that your pets remain inside your vehicle at all times while at the landfill. Your strict adherence to this policy helps keep everyone safe. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!

**Attention Customers**

This is a reminder for anyone bringing freezers, fridges or any other appliances to the Recycling Depot:

Please ensure that your appliances are clean before you bring them in. It is the customer's responsibility to deliver clean appliances for recycling and Freon recovery. Our employees should not have to handle rotten food or unpleasant odours while dismantling these units.

Additionally, if you know of any schools in town that are disposing of a deep freeze containing rotten hides, please discourage them from throwing it in the ditch. They said they will consider this option to avoid cleaning it.

The Lac La Ronge Regional Waste Management Corporation is looking to hire a PT or FT bookkeeper. Wage negotiable depending on experience.

Our Share Shack at the landfill has some good binders, duo tangs, and school supplies for all those kids going back to school. Stop by, save some money and reuse some things that are in really good conditions!

Our free library is cleaned up and ready to serve the community. If you want to come and check out some books or if you have any that you're not reading anymore, come and visit us at the Recycling Depot!
