MEMSS Events

Student Council is always looking for new members to voice their opinions and help with fun events around the school!! We meet every Friday at lunch in Ms. Benet’s room (room 96-across from the library) We hope to see you there!

Wear a jersey this Friday for National Jersey Day!!

Student Council will be fundraising for Relay For Life! Please help us get to at least $100 and we will shave Caleb Silva’s legs tomorrow!! Fundraising tins will be in the Office and in the Library! Tomorrow, there will be one in front of the Theatre during MESStock as well! Let’s get fundraising!!

Student Council is holding signups for MESSapolouza every day this week in front of the cafeteria. This is our school wide talent show, and we are encouraging everyone from students to staff to sign up. There is a $5 fee per act. Please come out and show off your amazing talents to the school!!

Student Council will be putting on a Wear Green Spirit Day on March 15th for St. Patrick’s Day 🍀💚☘️

We will be putting on a festive spirit week next week. Events are as follows:

Monday is Christmas Sock Day
Tuesday is Blue Christmas (wear blue)
Wednesday is Ugly/Christmas Sweater Day
Thursday is Pyjama Day
Friday is Flannel Friday

Let’s see your holiday cheer!!

Pre-sales for the Middle School dance (grade 7-9) will be happening next week from November 13th to the 16th. Tickets are you $10 and can be bought outside the cafeteria. We need 40 tickets sold to run the dance. The date of the dance is November 29th.

In honour of Remembrance Day, we are asking all students and staff to wear red and black on Friday, November 9th.

Calling all Grade 7’s and 12’s!!

Frosh Week signups are next week from Monday to Thursday (September 17th to 20th). The events will happen from September 24th to 28th. Sign up as a pair (one grade 7 and one grade 12) or as an individual and Student Council will find you a partner!

Carnival Messtock was a success! Thanks to Student Council members, participating teachers, school administration, and the Kitimat firefighters for their help!!

It's this time of the school year at MEMSS: Messtock is this Friday, June 8th, in the afternoon. This year's theme is Carnival - come with a few dollars to spend on cotton candy and popcorn, or for some throws at the dunk tank! Carnival games and other activities will be free, and the hamburger lunch is on us too!!
